What's in this class
- Drawing Mountains and Trees
- Children create personal space, ride an imaginary bicycle, draw mountains and trees with different body parts, and sway like trees in the wind. The activity develops coordination, body awareness, balance, and motor planning.
- Drawing Clouds and Snow
- Children draw clouds with their noses and shoulders, then move their fingers and bodies like falling snow before walking through deep snow. The activity encourages body awareness, coordination, balance, and sensory awareness.
- Ski Trip
- Children ski down the mountain and become a bunny, fox, bear, and Big Foot in an exciting chase. A buzzing bee helps save the animals before they each make their escape. The activity builds strength, coordination, balance, motor planning, and imagination.
- Tree Dance
- Children move their fingers and arms like a tree blowing in the wind, then shake their bodies to chase a bear from the tree. The activity develops body awareness, coordination, balance, and whole-body control.
- Bird and Bike
- Children fly away like birds, using their arms and legs as wings and then riding an imaginary bicycle home with their arms and legs. The activity develops coordination, strength, motor planning, and sequencing.
